Dr. Jeremy Fleming was born and raised in a town called Franklin, Tennessee, just south of Nashville. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. After this, he completed a one year Medicine and Surgery Internship at the University of Minnesota. He then moved to Davis, California where he completed a small animal surgical residency at the University of California-Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Fleming is particularly interested in minimally invasive surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, fracture repair, surgical oncology, and wound management. He has published research
on spontaneous hemoperitoneum in dogs and presented this at the American College of Veterinary Surgery Conference. Dr. Fleming has a special interest in teaching the next generation of veterinary surgeons and treating dogs and cats as members of the family. During his free time, he loves spending time outside with his two dogs running, hiking, and backpacking. He also loves playing sports, reading books, rock climbing, and playing and listening to music.
