Dr. Johnson grew up in the mountains of east Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee with a bachelor of science in Animal Science. She obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Johnson has lived in east Tennessee for most of her life, but one of her greatest passions is traveling. She has visited 29 national parks in the US and loves to visit anywhere that has beautiful scenery and great food (enjoying tasty food is another one of her greatest passions). She shares her east Austin home with her Bernese mountain dog, Sullivan, her shepherd street mutt, Rayna James, and her boyfriend, who is also a veterinarian in Austin. Her clinical interests include toxicities and wound management and repair.
