Dr. Sam McDonald grew up right up the road in Round Rock, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and then continued on at Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine to graduate with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While in school he had the chance to learn about emergency medicine, technology in medicine, and the Human-Animal Bond. Dr. McDonald has 2 rescue dogs from Austin Pets Alive, Sawyer and Indiana Bones, as well as 1 cat, Simba. He has clinical interests in toxicities, autoimmune diseases, neurologic disease, and cardiovascular disease. Outside of the clinic, Dr. McDonald loves enjoying Austin’s live music, great food, and outdoors, as well as spending time with his wife and pets.
