AVES Neurologist, Tracy Sutton, DVM, DACVIM, will be the speaker at the Capital Area VMA, CAVMA, monthly meeting on November 14, 2017, presenting on the Review of Acute Thoracolumbar Intervertebral Disc Extrusions in Dogs. This lecture is approved for 2 hours of CE credit.
This two-hour meeting will end with two hours of CE Certificates available at 9:30 p.m. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. and immediately follows the 6:30 p.m. dinner service.
Acute thoracolumbar disc extrusions in dogs are one of the most common neurologic diseases presenting to a veterinarian. The focus of the lecture will be on clinical presentation, treatment recommendations, and prognosis. A brief review of the pathophysiology behind their development will also be provided.
