Sara Ervin | LVT, Education Department Manager

Sara Ervin obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology from Lone Star College in Tomball, Texas, in 2002. With extensive experience across various veterinary specialties—including Equine Surgical Referral and Emergency, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Neurology—Sara brings a wealth of knowledge to her field.

In 2014, she joined Austin Community College as a Clinical Coordinator, where she played a key role in developing their Veterinary Technology Program. Her contributions to veterinary education were recognized in 2017 when she received the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) award.

In 2022, Sara transitioned to AVES, focusing on developing and implementing a comprehensive training program designed to empower staff in their roles within the hospital.

Outside of her professional commitments, Sara enjoys traveling with her husband, competing at horse shows on both state and national levels, and anything to do with Australian Cattle Dogs or grey cats.
